Expand your network and explore high-impact jobs in Web3
"Stack Shift dWeb is the best way to level up your network in Web3.
It's like YC for people."
Join a vibrant community full of self-motivated peers. The people you meet here will turn into partners, cofounders, advisors, and friends.
Identify high-impact opportunities and shape the future of the decentralized web.
This is not a program to transition into tech. This program is focused on making it easier to transition between and into Web3 roles.
The decentralized web needs a diverse range of skills. This program isn't just for software engineers.
This is not a technical training program. Think of it like a startup accelerator. Y Combinator but for talent.
Startup accelerators don't train you to become a founder, they help you level-up your network, making the fundraising process easier. In the same way, this fellowship makes the career exploration process easier through events like:
All events are opt-in and outside of normal work hours. Expect to spend 2 - 5 hours per week depending on your availability and interest.
Every 1-2 weeks during the fellowship there are optional, in-person socials. All other events occur online.
It's OK if you haven't yet shared with friends or employers that you're exploring something new. We keep your participation in confidence.
Each cohort is composed of carefully selected peers who have similar levels of experience and goals.
The fellowship is free. This program is supported by the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web which wants to see more talent working in the space.
*However, we ask that accepted cohort members make a $50 USD (or equivalent) donation to any African tech-focused nonprofit of their choice. Some options include Web3 Ladies, She Code Africa, Web3Bridge, Women Who Code or any other you choose. This confirms your spot and signals your interest in contributing to the program's give-first ethos.

No, but you'll have a better time if you are! We'll be hosting in-person events in Lagos, Nairobi, and Cape Town every 2 weeks during the fellowship. These are opt-in, like all activities during the cohort.
Yes. The fellowship is part-time and events occur outside of normal work hours.
All events are opt-in depending on your interest and availability. The average participant might spend 2 - 5 hours per week over the 6 week cohort. You'll get out of it what you put in.
We keep your participation confidential unless you tell us otherwise. Most people in the cohort are happy to share their participation publicly.
It would be silly to guarantee jobs. However, we can guarantee that you'll meet amazing people, have fun, and leave with new perspective on your career.
Applications are currently by invitation only. If there seems like a high probability of fit based on your profile, we'll reach out to schedule an intro call to tell you more and answer any questions you have.
Our goal with the selection process is to curate a mix of participants that have aligned goals but also a diversity of expertise compared to those already accepted. Either way, we’ll keep you informed of awesome Web3 events, insights, and jobs.
Because this is not a technical training program, we want to make sure that applicants have relevant prior experience before they take the time to apply.
The cohort is comprised of people who already work in Web3 and also those who have enough experience to easily transition. We look for participants who live by a give first ethos and can contribute something unique to the cohort as well as gain from it.
Yes! The Web3 space needs a diverse range of talent. Software developers, product, design, community, and growth talent are all welcome.
